If you are a proud Alumnus or an interested visitor, welcome to our official website. Unfortunately, we regret to report that, as of August 2014, Phi Eta Kappa is inactive. There is some discussion underway regarding the possibility of reopening as of August 2019. Updates will be posted here and on the "What's New" page.

Our Brotherhood of 110 years has thrived because of the overall cultural diversity, strong character, lifelong friendships, and moral class of our institution.

As a "local" Fraternity, we differed from "national" college fraternities by focusing on our own time honored traditions of ethical ritual and team building. Our beloved House is on the beautiful New England campus of the University of Maine, in Orono, along "Fraternity Row" just off College Avenue.

One of the most important benefits of Phi Eta Kappa Brotherhood is learning how to properly prepare, compete for, and achieve life's rewards. After college, the bonds of Phi Eta Kappa are with you always.

Greek Life gives you the opportunity, and teach you the skills, for peer interaction that dorm life cannot replicate. We understand and respect how the University of Maine, and academic institutions across America, must regulate Fraternity life.

Phi Eta Kappa is made up of scholars, athletes, educators, physicians, soldiers & officers, business & industry leaders, public figures, entrepreneurs....  & on & on.... To list just a few, we proudly include late Maine State Governor John Reed, the late Univ. of Maine President Winthrop Libby, successful businessmen & philanthropists (the late) Larry Mahaney and Eldon Morrison, former UMaine Head Football Coach Jack Cosgrove, former Clemson University Head Baseball Coach Jack Leggett, and Dartmouth Head Baseball Coach Bob Whalen among our Alumni.

The best of what college life offers -our Brotherhood helped us achieve that goal. Here we learned teamwork and sharing. Our personal growth was enhanced by peer interaction and support. Our learning abilities were supplemented by the support from upper classmen-Brothers' experience and insights. Our dedicated Alumni were actively involved in House operations, upgrades, interaction with the U-Maine administration , and sharing "real life" ethical values, experiences, and networking with active undergrad and grad Brothers.

Phi Eta Kappa became an extension of our own families. A true "value-added" college life experience exclusive from any other UMaine residential choice.
